Lifers

What are Lifers?

In a birdwatcher or photographer's life and par, "lifers" are first-time sightings of bird species, marking significant achievements. Each lifer sparks excitement, deepens passion, and fuels exploration into diverse habitats. Lifers symbolize discovery and connection with nature, creating cherished memories while expanding their personal birding or photographic journey with every new find.

On the left is a Little Spiderhunter (Arachnothera longirostra), I spotted and photographed for the first time @ South Goa, India just after monsoons in 2023

This is an attempt to create a collage of all my Lifers from India. This list contains only the best shots I have been able to get over the years. If the image is a record shot or blurred or not good enough, I have put in a stock image - though I may have uploaded it to ebird.org for citizen science and identification  !

This is all work in progress !
